Basic Lay Servant Ministries Course
The Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church is offering a Basic Lay Servant Ministries Course for those seeking to grow in faith, leadership, and service within their local church.
This in-person course will meet on Saturday, January 17 and Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 9:30 AM–3:00 PM at Agape United Methodist Church in New Berlin.
Over two Saturdays, participants will engage in foundational learning designed to equip lay members for meaningful ministry.
The course will be led by Pastor Brady Henderson, Minister Mark Runke, and Certified Lay Speakers Wendy Kamerling and Alan Tamm. Participants should obtain the textbook Lay Servant Ministries—Basic Course by Sandy Ziegler Jackson and Brian Jackson prior to the first session.
There is no cost to attend, and lunch will be provided. Registration is required by January 10, 2026.
This course is an excellent opportunity for anyone feeling called to serve more deeply in their church and community.
