Feed My Starving Children
[See photos taken at this great event!]
Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children which are then shipped to distribution partners. FMSC meals have reached nearly 70 countries around the world. On Saturday, June 9 our Salem UMC family has the opportunity to pack meals for Feed My Starving Children. Packing will take place at 742 East Park Ave (Hwy 176) in Libertyville, IL (behind Life Storage – use same parking area). We will be meeting at the facility. The session goes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. —we need to be there by 11:15 a.m. Wear closed–toed shoes and leave all jewelry at home. If you have any questions please contact Gretchen Verhaalen at 1-414-431-7583 or Gretchen@wi.rr.com
I have set up our third FMSC for the year. Our goal was three a year, but got a little off schedule! There’s still time for a last one in December, though: Wednesday, Dec. 26 from 12-2 p.m. I have booked 30 spots and will get more if needed. I am inviting boy scouts again as well. The address and info are above. The link is https://www.fmsc.org/join-group?joincode=PDYDNX and the join code is PDYDNX.
